Werner Westermann receives funding for K-12 Open Textbook in Civics and Citizenship

We are delighted to report that the project by Werner Westermann, who servers as OE4BW hub coordinator, received funding by CC Open Education Platform Funds 2023.  The project with community members in Chile, supports the development of a K-12 Open Textbook in Civics and Citizenship subject for 11th and 12th Grade, aligned to the official K-12 curriculum of Chile.

Werner Westermann proposed this project to help deliver customized OER content, responsive and aligned to the official Chilean “prioritized” curriculum, a core group of learning outcomes for math, highlighted during school disruption during COVID-19. Ideally, this curriculum will support learners using Kolibri, meeting the needs of learners with limited or no Internet connectivity during COVID-19 and beyond.

Congratulations!
