OE4BW 2025 Webinar 1: Open Courses: OER for Learning - a Canadian view
OE4BW 2025 Webinar Series: Open Courses: OER for Learning – a Canadian View

📅 24 April

🕔 17:00 CEST

🎙️ Prof. Dr. Rory McGreal

In today’s world, where equitable, flexible, and inclusive access to education is more important than ever, Open Educational Resources (OERs) offer a powerful and practical solution. Licensed for free use and adaptation, OERs make knowledge accessible to all. Educators can reuse and repurpose materials to meet the unique needs of their learners, whether in classrooms, online environments or self-paced settings.

To kick off this webinar series, we are delighted to welcome Prof. Dr. Rory McGreal, UNESCO/ICDE Chair in Open Educational Resources, who will share his insights and experience in:

  • the power of reusability, remixing, and repurposing in OER design
  • how micro-courses and micro-credentials can deliver fast and accessible ways for certification
  • the emerging role of Generative AI in creating and distributing public-domain learning content
  • real-life practices and lessons from Canada.
