OE4BW 2025 new programme begins
Open Education for a Better World 2025 Kicks Off with 92 Projects, 160 Developers from 26 Countries

The Open Education for a Better World (OE4BW) mentoring program is back for its 8th edition, bringing together passionate educators, innovators, and changemakers from across the globe. This year, we are thrilled to welcome 92 projects led by 160 developers from 26 countries across the world. Additionally, 90 mentors and 11 hub coordinators will guide and support the projects throughout the program.

The OE4BW network continues to grow, fostering collaboration across continents:

Focused Thematic Hubs for Greater Impact

This year, projects are organised under 11 thematic hubs, ensuring focused efforts in key educational areas:

  • 4 Hubs in Education & Pedagogy
  • 2 Hubs in Sustainability
  • 2 Hubs in Health and Well-being
  • 2 Hubs in Artificial Intelligence
  • 1 Hub for Youth Developers.

What’s next?

Over the coming months, developers will work alongside expert mentors, refining their projects and transforming ideas into impactful Open Educational Resources (OERs). This year’s cohort builds on the momentum of over 450 projects and 537 participants from 45 countries developed in previous editions.
